Live music at a wedding service adds so much to the occasion. Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus would be delighted to provide both dedicated choral items and to lead your guests in the singing of other music in your ceremony. We are always well prepared and can enhance your occasion with minimum interference, leaving you free to focus on the event itself.
You will know the style and atmosphere you are trying to achieve at your wedding, so do feel free to contact us, without obligation, for an informal discussion about the music you might like to include, and we, in turn, can advise on suitable items from our repertoire. Would your occasion benefit from large scale choral works such as Zadok the Priest or I was Glad? Or perhaps something more contemplative such as settings of Ave Verum or God be in My Head? Or are you thinking of something completely different? Our repertoire is mainly classical in style, but we are happy to discuss your wishes and will try to accommodate your preferred music.
You will find a a few musical ideas below, and you can listen to recordings of most of these on YouTube or Spotify. As a symphonic choir we do not generally have choral versions of popular songs in our repertoire, however, we sing a vast array of choral music and hymns, so do ask for what you’d really like to have and, based on your venue, and ‘style’ of wedding, we will aim to enhance your special day with a little musical magic.
Please email our Chorus Administrator at in the first instance, and we will arrange a time to discuss requirements with you.
